This pin has scratches to the silver and stone from previous wear, and tarnishing that may not come off when polished. The gold wash is a very thin layer with some of it already coming off from previous wear. More of the gold wash will continue to come off with continued wear.

One side of the brooch has a slight brushed detailing giving a slight dull appearance.
